This is an especially interesting original Imperial German WWI Model 1918 steel helmet that was refurbished and reissued for service with the German Heer during WWII. The helmet retains a wartime textured gray finish, a partially preserved single Heer eagle decal, traces of its earlier double decal configuration, and a 1940 dated M31 liner. The helmet began its service life as a WWI M18 and was later repainted and
