This is a wonderful example of a U. S. WWII Army Air Forces B 2 Shearling Leather Billed Cap which is complete with original data showing it was manufactured by the Werber Sportswear Company of Newburgh, New York. The type B 2 hat was designed for cold weather as well as sun protection for the eyes. Period photographs show these being used by Bomber Air Crew and Gunners, as well as members of the ground grew. The cap
