This is a fantastic flat horn shaped gun powder priming flask, beautifully constructed with an attached horn bottom, and a threaded carved horn cap with a hole for dispensing powder. It has a brass hanging ring on the narrow side, with a silver crown over an engraved 45 referring to the 45th Regiment of Foot on the wide side. This regiment was first raised in 1741 under Colonel Daniel Houghton, before it came under the
