This is a very nice Bowie style knife from the Philippines, brought back by a USGI after WWII. It is quite impressive, having an attractive 8 1 4 inch clip point "Bowie" style blade. This makes it just ideal for use as a fighting knife, which could possibly be what it was intended for.
