These bayonets are literally like finding Hen's Teeth today! The very hardest of all "Butcher Saw Back" bayonets to find is this M 1898 02 which comes complete with scabbard. This model is substantially larger than the M 1898 05 model that replaced it. This is an attic find and completely fresh to the market. This example is marked on the blade ricasso with maker V. C. SCHILLING of SUHL, Germany, a well known maker
