At Grauman's Chinese Theater, he put his footprints, not in the regular cement as many Hollywood greats had done, but in black sand shipped in from Iwo Jima and mixed with the cement. Wayne's foot and fist prints remain in "the sands of Iwo Jima" on Hollywood
