An eight pointed rayed star in silver gilt, suspended by a typical Mural Crown also in silver gilt, obverse centre depicting a red and white enamelled symbol of the Red Cross with the Latin motto In Hoc Signo Salus (In this Sign, Health), surrounded a large green enamelled laurel wreath, with the Malta shield on the 6 oclock arm, reverse centre featuring a blue and white enamelled
