This is a genuine U. S. Civil War era Spencer model 1860 Repeating Carbine. All parts completely correct with a the metalwork worn and polished to a nice grayish patina. The stock is in good antique condition, though does show wear. This very interesting example bears Serial number of 59374 on the receiver tang, indicating mid to early 1865 manufacture. It also has had the saddle ring removed from the bar, and was
