Original Imperial German Franco-Prussian War Era Saxon M1889 Uhlan Tschapka Officer’s Helmet with Chinscales & Good Markings - Rare German Edged Weapons The correct early war aluminumOriginal Item. Only One Available. This is an outstanding helmet that never had an example of before. This is a Saxon Uhlan Tschapka in the Model of 1889, with the body and mortarboard being a single piece. This example appears to have been fitted with a later style Wappen and a reproduction cockade, but retains original chinscales and a great retained liner. In 1889 a new model of Tschapka was introduced. The flat top was reduced in size
