It features reinforced side walls fully lined on the exterior with a dark cherry red cap band. Lengths of dark cherry red piping trims the top edge of the band and the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the centre of the cap band is an RAMC badge featuring a king's crown, executed in gilded and silvered bronze, measuring 30 mm (w) x 45 mm (h). The
